Only one public event during the visit of Pope Francis to Kazakhstan is expected. On September 14 at 16:45, the Pope, in concelebration with the clergy, will celebrate the Holy Mass with people. Anyone with a special ticket can attend this event following the rules for participation. Due to security and space constraints, only people representing the target audience and media will be admitted to other events (accreditation is required).

Kazakhstani believers of the Catholic Church should inform the priest of their or nearest parish about their desire to take part in the Holy Mass with Pope Francis. The priest will add your name to the list and explain the rules of participation. Before arriving in Nur-Sultan, make sure that you and each group member have a special ticket (you can get it from your priest). You can get into a special sector for Catholics with seating and the opportunity to receive Holy Communion during Mass only if you have a ticket.

People are invited to the Holy Mass regardless of their religious or confessional affiliation. To get into the sector with seating, you must first register and get a special ticket (pass) at the nearest Catholic parish (addresses and phone numbers can be found on the official website of the Catholic Church of Kazakhstan, later information will appear on this website)

The following Rules must be observed when attending a public event with the participation of the Pope:

— Entering the territory to intoxicated people is prohibited;

— Smoking on the territory is prohibited;

– Carrying of alcoholic beverages and food, any type of weapon and ammunition, piercing and cutting objects, flammable substances,
laser devices is strictly prohibited (every sector will have access to potable water);

–Please refrain from traveling by private car If possible (special free buses will be organized to deliver participants to the venue)

— Please refrain from provocative and revealing outfits;

— Any manifestations of provocation, insults, broadcasting of any slogans and other types of defiant behavior is prohibited;

— It is forbidden to move outside your sector indicated on the ticket. If you leave it after the start of the event, it will be impossible to get into it again.

— Unauthorized access to the event area is prohibited;

– We call for the most restrained behavior when driving Pope Francis on the popemobile to avoid crowding and other emergency situations;

— Holy Communion is distributed exclusively in the sector for Catholics.

Pope Francis will celebrate Mass with people on September 14, at 16.45 on the EXPO International Exhibition Center territory (on a square in front of the Nur Alem pavilion, next to the stele). Address: B1 Mangilik El ave., Nur-Sultan city. Detailed map and directions will be available later.
